Role Title: Head, Pricing & Planning

Reporting to: Marketing Director

Purpose:

  • Responsible for the feasibility of marketing promotions and develop promotion business cases that manifests the financial returns and value proposition to customers.
  • Role holder will create and execute methodologies for building complete marketing - business & pricing models, and establish marketing projects management’s coordination system and procedures.
  • Work with Finance and Network colleagues to ensure that network capacity needs are accurately forecasted and that the optimum is achieved.
  • Work with product marketing to ensure that pricing is understandable, attractive and acceptable to target customers.
  • Carry out individual and group project work relating to trends in market pricing and communication, market evolution, new pricing structures.
  • Identify and implement a world-class approach to the creation and communication of pricing perceptions, marketing budget and price plans.

Context:

Role holder will perform sales and marketing operation analysis, using international products pricing and marketing models. Propose, manage and maintain/withdraw elements of the Company’s tariff, product and pricing portfolio. Responsible of carrying out services/product initial financial feasibility.

Overview

Identify or create new potential business opportunity; screen market situation, economic, technical, and financial and operation feasibility of ideas; develop business case analysis and work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance and, to implement approved plans to expand customer base, products market share and ultimately revenue objectives. Ensure correctness of the end to end Pricing, Charging and Billing process in relationship with Marketing, IT Development and Relationship Marketing. Develop and execute pricing structure for services and products, based on global international telecom pricing standards.

Costs & Profitability

Profitability would be the result of accurately forecasting the telecom market needs, and the effectiveness of plans and its implementation towards expanding customer base, products, market shares, and revenue. Proper planning and accurate financial feasibility will minimize any financial risk to the company.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customers

Identify or create new potential business opportunity; screen market situation, telecommunication economics, and financial and operation feasibility of new tariff;

Business orientation

Develop promotion business cases to meet revenue requirement and targeted customer base. Develop and execute pricing structure for services and products, based on global international telecom pricing standards.

Planning & Organising

Methodically collect competitive market analysis and performance measurements, develop alternative responses, and make appropriate recommendations to preserve and expand products market position.

Perform feasibility analysis for existing and new services, business & price modeling, business planning, in order to operations requirements, for the business, sales & marketing of on-going products and projects

Problem Solving

Identify or create new potential business opportunity; screen market situation, economic, and financial and operational feasibility of ideas; develop business case analysis and work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance and to implement approved plans to expand customer base, products portfolio and ultimately revenue objectives.

Communicating, negotiating & influencing

Develop business case analysis and work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance and to implement approved plans to expand customer base. Coordinate and monitor the evaluation process of the output of the products business plan. Develop recommendations for pricing proposals and promotions.

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

8+ years experience in business and marketing analysis position in reputable telecom or data enterprise organization.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

BSc. Degree in Economics &/or Marketing or its equivalent

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

- Quality of process for developing Tariff plans,

- Quality of business case presentation,

- Accuracy and completeness of revenue analysis,

- Accuracy and thoroughness of market segmentations,

- Accuracy of ROI forecasts.

Network

Develop marketing plans, business case analysis and work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance and CRM, to implement approved plans to expand customer base, products market share and ultimately revenue objectives

Team working, coaching, guiding

Work closely with sales, product management, technical, finance and CRM to implement approved plans to expand services market penetration, customer base, products market share and ultimately revenue growth.

Decision making authority

Role holder takes responsibility of creating pricing roadmap annual, the pricing model to use, and recommendations to achieve business & financial objectives.

Business impact of role

Poor performance could result in failure to predict market demands for diverse products, unacceptable product pricing, customer dissatisfaction, loss of business and revenue.

Technical & non technical Skills

- Good understanding and practical knowledge of sales and marketing operation analysis methodologies.

- Demonstrates personal initiative and superior interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks with constricted deadline and ensure deliverables quality standards.
