General Manager- Investment

Purpose:

· To implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization

· To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objective

Reports to: Chairman

Major Functions/Accountabilities:

1. Direct all aspect of the Investment BU’s Business plan with strong focus on bottom line results and future growth. Prepare INVESTMENT BU to face emerging challenges and develop strategy and roadmap to achieve this.

2. Support the Chairman and Board in the strategic planning exercises, steer the company to ensure long-term growth and profitability.

3. Explore opportunity for growth. Support Chairman and the Board in identifying opportunities and setting up operations profitably.

4. Lead and coordinate the development of Business plan for INVESTMENT BU, their OPEX, CAPEX, and monitor revenue and expenditure.

5. Provide leadership to INVESTMENT BU’s management, offering advice, guidance, direction on Investment business matters including operational policies, new Business initiatives, management of existing portfolios, etc.

6. Set financial performance benchmark for each unit under the Investment BU.

7. Drive change management and organization development initiatives across the INVESTMENT BU; create communication channels that improves workflow, productivity and efficiency.

8. Provide leadership in Talent Management of INVESTMENT BU, succession planning, performance management and other people initiatives.

9. Any other assignments given by Chairman or the Board

Minimum Experience

· 12 + years of experience out of which 4 to 6 years should be in senior management, with direct profit and loss responsibility for a company or an operating unit.

· It is essential that some part of the senior management experience should be in an Investment company.

· Regional experience is an added advantage.

· Ability to run a business in a start-up or acquisition mode

· Excellent communicator. Native Arabic speakers are preferred.

· Highly motivated, able to influence & motivate others and make sound judgments
