POSITION: Professional & Core Trainer
Department: Training & Development Dept
Direct Supervisor: Head of Corporate Training
Job Purpose: Conducts Analysis, Design, Development, Implements, and Evaluates primarily non-technical training (may in fact work within the technical side of the business as well, as well as other in-house programs, as required). They will act as an internal trainer and training consultant, working with Groups and Job Families, PDAs, SLT members to ensure core, specific and tailored training needs are met. Key Result Areas:
· Researches, prepares, implements, promotes and conducts core training (and other training) training programs necessary to fulfil identified training needs; within groups, job families and other sub structures.
· Researches specific internal/external training programs for all the staff.
· Conducts analysis to specify the training needs of all levels of the company staff including: team-leaders, supervisors, section heads, managers and group managers- as and when required.
· Identifies, delivers, and evaluates suitable internal / external training courses to meet the specific needs of the Company and that of the managerial levels individuals.
· Provides value-added courses for the career development & succession planning as required.
· Stays abreast of leading edge topics and principles of training by attending conferences, training and memberships to journals, etc.
· Selects monitors and evaluates the work of contracted training vendors for approval.

· Extracts enrolment data; compiles and prepares statistical reports for management review

· Will conduct needs assessment, design, evaluation, development and conduct of training.

· Meets with Dept/Grp managers to solve training issues.

Internal
· Regular meetings with Managers and Supervisors through-out the organization
· Regular meetings with all Training & Development staff - adopting a team-work approach
External
· Regular contact with institutions and companies to remain current with training developments.
· Regular contact with training vendors to facilitate training programs.
· Regular communications with all of the company in the marketing of internal courses.
Problem Solving/Complexity:
· Continually monitoring and identifying relevant courses, determining what is essential, what might be needed and what could be useful but has a lower priority.
· Seeking solutions to the existing logistics problems.
· Continually screening of the organization to determine needs and providing the correct intervention.
Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:
· Determines own day-to-day work methods and agrees on short/long term goals and objectives with Head of Corporate Training.
· Head of Corporate Training provides direction and support but allows a large amount of freedom of planning in achieving goals and targets.
· Responsible for designing and modifying courses.
· No expenditure authority.
· No hiring/firing/salaries responsibility.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor Degree from an accredited university with emphasis on either Org Development, Education, or Training.
· MBA or any other related Post-Graduate qualification(s) is an advantage.
· 8 to 10 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
· Computer literate (MS Office, SAP Trg Module)
· CIPD, CTDP, SHRM, CPT or CHRP (or equivalent) desired
· Certified in MBTI, DISC or other relevant designation is desired
· Certified as a Coach from a recognized and accredited organization, is desired.
· 5-8 yrs using E-Learning as a performance tool is desired
· 5-8 yrs of internal consulting experience around human performance
Ability to:
· Effectively apply written and oral communication skills.
· Strong background in training evaluation models (1, 2, 3 and 4)
· Strong background using competency models
· Strong background in acting as an internal consultant for training or human performance
· An in depth knowledge of

· Effectively organize and utilize input from diverse sources to achieve program goals.
· Effectively plan, organize, facilitate and evaluate training programs.
