Position: Lead Performance & Development Officer

Role synopsis
This role exists to provide all HR practice and related support to Marine Officers via the Performance & Development officers, including HR services such as recruitment, reward, employee relations, exit process and compliance with the relevant laws.
Key accountabilities
1. Leads and manages advice for tagged sea staff on Performance and Development issues with regard to appraisals, objectives and career aspirations, as well as providing direction and advice in the application of standard Company Policies and Practices.
2. Lead and manage the training course agenda and personally oversee the performance management and promotion process for the tagged officers.
3. Undertake disciplinary procedures for the tagged officers as required in compliance with the contract of employment for the sea staff.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Class 1 Engineering Certificate.
- Strong background & experience in Marine Operations
- Solid track record in managing virtual teams and significant experience in talent managing technical professionals / specialists.
- Skilled in managing and motivating diverse teams ashore.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Degree in HR or relate
- Knowledge in change management.
- Experience in working in shipping or another large multinational
organisation as a leader in people management.
Travel required Yes - up to 25%
